Web Hosting

Announcing Webilicious ® Hosting!

Since launching Webilicious ® Web Design and Development Services, it soon became apparent that it is just as convenient for us as it is for clients to provide a "one stop" shop. We can now arrange hosting, create your web site and group together all the services provided into one bill!

hosting_logo_250x90By reselling hosting, we are able to provide hosting at a lower cost to clients especially if their web sites do not need a lot of space. This is often the case for small businesses that have a simple web site. Of course, the web hosting plans can be upgraded at any time as the site evolves. In this way, clients only pay for what they need rather than paying for what they might need in future.

We pay a little bit extra to the wholesaler to offset greenhouse gases that are created in hosting web sites so that your hosting is not adversely affecting the planet!

Update:

I now encourage clients to take advantage of the frequent discounts on their first invoice as new clients of VentraIP.

I no longer recommend SiteGround after their massive price increase in June 2018.

Move My Website to a Better Web Hosting Company

Moving a website to a new web host typically takes a couple of hours or around $176 and includes:

  • backing up the current website
  • finding the most suitable web hosting company for your particular website within your budget
  • purchasing a new web hosting plan on your behalf
  • restoring the website to the new web host
  • updating the domain name to point to the new host
  • testing
  • forwarding any orphaned emails on the old host to the new host
  • optionally moving your domain name to the new service provider

Note that you will be moving to a better web hosting company and for most of my clients this is often a cheaper web hosting company so that the cost of the move is soon recovered.

Perth’s Eastern Region Broadband

If you run a business in Perth's Eastern Region, you are invited by the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) to participate in a survey that will help to identify broadband blackspots. Survey results may help to raise the priority of Perth’s Eastern Region in the roll out of the federally funded National Broadband Network.

The Eastern Region member Councils are:

  • Town of Bassendean
  • City of Bayswater
  • City of Belmont
  • Shire of Kalamunda
  • Shire of Mundaring
  • City of Swan
